Robert Roos (Born 2 August 1966) Is A Dutch Politician And An Entrepreneur.
He Speaks Dutch, English And German.
Roos Was Born In Rotterdam, Zuid-Holland. He Studied Electrical Energy Technology At The University In Rotterdam (1989–1992) And Thereafter Business Administration In Utrecht. Several Technical Studies And Supervisory Board Management At The Nyenrode Business University In 2019.
Roos Worked For Ten Years As An Employee In Engineering And Construction Companies On Big Projects In The Oil And Gas Industry And Also In The Infrastructure Industry. In 2000, He Decided To Start His Own Business On The Garret With Some Saved Money. The Dutch Railway Company Was The First Customer. Soon Other Big Companies In The Oil & Gas, Transport- , Water Supply- And Telecommunications Sector Followed. In 2011 Roos Started His Own Telecom Company. He Invests And Built Fiber Optic Networks For Business Services In The Netherlands. In 2013 He Started Also As An Internet Service Provider On His Own Networks. Roos Founded In Total Eight Companies, Bought Companies And Merged Them. In 2016 He Sold His First Cluster Of Companies And In 2018 The Second Cluster. He Decided That It Was Time To Contribute To Society By Bringing Some Common Sense Into Politics.
At The End Of 2016, Roos Met Thierry Baudet Who Just Had Decided To Transform His Political Thinktank Forum For Democracy Into A Political Party. A Conservative Movement. That Decision Was Made Due To EU Association Agreement With Ukraine. The People Of The Netherlands Voted In A Referendum Against The Agreement But The Government Ignored The Result. Like 2005 With The Treaty Establishing A Constitution For Europe. In Both Cases The Government Only Changed The Names. Roos Told Baudet That He Had Built Several Companies And That Experience Was Useful For Building A New Political Party. Roos Became The Campaign Leader For The Dutch Elections In 2019. Two And A Half Years After The Start Of The Political Party, Forum For Democracy Became The Largest Party Of The Netherlands.
Roos Was Elected In The Biggest Province Of The Netherlands, In The Senate And Also In The European Parliament. He Chose For The European Parliament And He Has Been An MEP Since July 2019.
